Thirroul traditionally a working Coal Coast town servicing mining and Wollongong’s Industry has attracted Artists of all mediums due to modest rents, waters unpopulated by the crowds of the city and the rugged beauty that so inspires.

D H Lawrence who penned "Kangaroo" in his shack by the sea, the late Brett Whitely and his beauty of hand was inspired by this place, the list of artists new and old goes on and is a testament to this great Aussie South Coast Community.

The Gallery came about when Jason Rogers recognised the potential of the great little shed at the back of Wombats Collectibles, cluttered with closets and doors, the space has evolved to house art and object's d'art from near and far.
